Argostoli: when your ship stops here
A lagoon where loggerhead turtles feed, a bridge from 1813, and an underground lake.
Facts checked Nov 6, 2026, each with its source. No prices on this page.
Argostoli is the capital of the island of Kefalonia in the Ionian Islands of Greece, and has been the island's capital since 1757. It had 13,666 people in 2021 in its municipal unit. Wikipedia says the 1953 earthquake razed virtually all of Kefalonia, apart from the Fiskardo area. Our sources do not say how far the berth is from the center, so ask on board.

Before you go ashore
You do not have to book a tour: you are free to go ashore on your own. Royal Caribbean sets the all aboard time about 30 minutes before the ship sails, posts it near the gangway, and says the ship does not wait for guests touring on their own.
