What a Night Costs on Each Royal Caribbean Ship
Ship by ship, the middle night runs from $95 to $267 in an interior cabin. The ship matters, and so does the port it sails from.

The middle night on a Royal Caribbean ship costs $142 per person in an interior cabin, taxes and port fees included. That is the middle across 1,891 priced cruises that leave between 1 November 2026 and 31 October 2027, on 31 ships. The ship you pick moves it a lot: Enchantment of the Seas is the cheapest at a middle $95 a night and Legend of the Seas is the dearest at $267, about 2.8 times as much. The port moves it almost as much. The same ship can cost nearly twice as much a night out of one port as out of another.
Every number comes from our own price data, as captured on 19 October 2026. For each sailing we took the lowest interior fare per person, divided it by the number of nights, and then took the middle (the median) for each ship. The box at the bottom says exactly how. This is a fare story, not a verdict on the ships: a night on a new ship and a night on an older one buy different things.
Ship by ship, cheapest night to dearest
Older ships fill the cheap end and the newest fill the dear end. Enchantment of the Seas, which sails only out of Tampa, has the lowest middle night, $95. At the other end sit Legend of the Seas ($267, 77 priced sailings), Star of the Seas, Utopia of the Seas and Icon of the Seas, all above $200 a night. Hero of the Seas shows $234 but only 15 sailings are on sale, because it does not enter service until August 2027, so read it as a first look.
A middle night on each ship, with the typical range
Lowest interior fare per person, taxes and port fees included, divided by nights, for cruises leaving 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2027, as priced on 19 October 2026. Each bar runs from the 10th to the 90th percentile of that ship's sailings. The note beside it gives the middle.
The fairest comparison: seven nights only
Short cruises cost more a night than a week (a three-night sailing has a middle $176 a night, a seven-night $135). Ships that run a lot of short cruises therefore look dearer. Holding the length at seven nights removes that. These are the 22 ships with at least 12 priced seven-night sailings.
| Ship | Seven-night sailings priced | Middle per night | Middle for the week | Mostly sails from |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vision of the Seas | 21 | $89 | $625 | San Juan and 1 more |
| Enchantment of the Seas | 45 | $94 | $659 | Tampa |

| Star of the Seas | 53 | $225 | $1,577 | Port Canaveral |
| Hero of the Seas | 13 | $231 | $1,614 | Miami |
| Legend of the Seas | 49 | $283 | $1,983 | Barcelona and 2 more |
Seven-night cruises only, ships with at least 12 priced, leaving 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2027, priced on 19 October 2026. Middle for the week is the median lowest interior fare per person for the whole sailing, taxes and port fees included. Mostly sails from is the home port with the most of that ship's sailings in the window (all lengths).
The order barely changes. On seven nights Vision of the Seas ($89 a night) is the cheapest of the group and Legend of the Seas ($283) is the dearest, so the spread is real and not an artefact of short cruises. A middle week costs $625 on the first and $1,983 on the last.
Newer ships cost more a night
Group the ships by class and the pattern is plain. Vision Class ships (the oldest, built in the 1990s) have a middle night of $108. Icon Class ships (built since 2024) have $236, about 2.2 times as much. By year built, ships from before 2000 sit at $105 a night, ships from 2020 or later at $213.
| Class | Ships | Sailings priced | Middle per night | Typical range |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vision Class | 4 | 204 | $108 | $84 to $182 |

| Built 2000 to 2009 | 12 | 771 | $121 |
| Built 2010 to 2019 | 7 | 422 | $155 |
| Built 2020 or later | 7 | 443 | $213 |
Year built from our ship pages. Same fares as the table above.
Newer ships cost more and give more, so this is not a case for sailing the oldest ship. It does show where the price of a night comes from. If you want the lowest cost per night, the Enchantment of the Seas end of the list is where to look. If you hold an offer that covers the fare, a pricier ship is where the offer is worth most, which what a Club Royale offer is really worth measures in dollars.
The port moves the price of the same ship
A ship does not carry one price. The same hull costs very different amounts a night depending on where it is based. We compared every ship that has at least 20 priced sailings out of two or more ports. Jewel of the Seas costs a middle $81 a night out of Tampa and $157 out of Fort Lauderdale. Independence of the Seas costs $95 out of Miami and $163 out of Cape Liberty.
| Ship | Cheaper home port | Middle per night there | Dearer home port | Middle per night there | Dearer port costs |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jewel of the Seas | Tampa (35 sailings) | $81 | Fort Lauderdale (54 sailings) | $157 | 93% more |
| Independence of the Seas | Miami (27 sailings) | $95 | Cape Liberty (28 sailings) | $163 | 71% more |
| Freedom of the Seas | Miami (32 sailings) | $99 | Southampton (25 sailings) | $158 | 59% more |
| Voyager of the Seas | Los Angeles (27 sailings) | $76 | Seattle (22 sailings) | $117 | 53% more |
| Allure of the Seas | Miami (25 sailings) | $114 | Fort Lauderdale (27 sailings) | $163 | 43% more |

| Adventure of the Seas | Fort Lauderdale (25 sailings) | $106 | Port Canaveral (34 sailings) | $139 | 31% more |
| Serenade of the Seas | San Diego (40 sailings) | $89 | Vancouver (21 sailings) | $113 | 27% more |
| Odyssey of the Seas | Cape Liberty (22 sailings) | $162 | Rome (26 sailings) | $187 | 16% more |
| Brilliance of the Seas | Ravenna (25 sailings) | $117 | Fort Lauderdale (44 sailings) | $135 | 15% more |
| Quantum of the Seas | Seattle (22 sailings) | $164 | Brisbane (27 sailings) | $177 | 8% more |
| Oasis of the Seas | Cape Liberty (26 sailings) | $141 | Fort Lauderdale (48 sailings) | $146 | 4% more |
Ships with at least 20 priced sailings from each of two home ports, leaving 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2027, priced on 19 October 2026. Where a ship sails from three or more ports, the cheapest and dearest of them are shown. The sailings differ in length and date between ports, so part of each gap is the calendar and the itinerary.
So the cheapest ship and the cheapest place to find that ship are two questions. Our cheapest week to cruise from each home port answers the second, and each ship's page lists where it sails.
When you sail, and how long
The middle night across the fleet is lowest for January sailings, $109, and highest for July, $176. December is the other peak at $162, driven by the week of Christmas. Length matters too: the middle night is $176 on a three-night cruise, $118 on a five-night and $135 on a seven-night.
| Length | Sailings priced | Middle per night | Middle for the whole sailing |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 nights | 262 | $176 | $529 |
| 4 nights | 375 | $140 | $559 |
| 5 nights | 236 | $118 | $592 |
| 6 nights | 74 | $148 | $888 |
| 7 nights | 724 | $135 | $943 |
| 8 nights | 99 | $163 | $1,305 |
| 9 nights | 69 | $120 | $1,083 |

The cheapest and dearest single nights
Here are the eight cheapest and eight dearest nights among the 1,891 sailings. The cheap end is Mexico out of Los Angeles and San Diego, a Tampa week and long Atlantic crossings, where the ship is moving anyway. 4 of the eight dearest are Christmas week sailings; the rest are summer Europe and short getaways. A single sailing is one fare on one day, and fares move daily (see how often fares drop), so use these as examples of the range, not as a booking tip.

What this does not tell you
- It is the lowest interior cabin. Balcony and suite fares sit well above it, and the gap differs by ship.
- A night is a night of fare. It does not count what the ship offers, what the itinerary visits or how many of the nights are at sea.
- Ships are not spread evenly across ports, lengths and seasons, so a ship's middle partly reflects where and when it sails. That is why the seven-night table and the same-ship table are there.
- Hero of the Seas has only 15 priced sailings and enters service in August 2027. Every other ship has at least 44.
- Prices are as captured on 19 October 2026. Fares move daily, and nothing here is a quote.
Sailings with no fare
21 cruises in the window had no fare when we looked. They are shown as unpriced, left out of every figure above and never estimated. We also left out 179 cruise-and-land-tour packages, because a tour fare covers days on land and cannot be read as a price per night at sea.
