Utopia of the Seas has the most back-to-back trips of any Royal Caribbean ship: 102, all from Port Canaveral. Ovation of the Seas is next with 95 from Los Angeles, then Wonder of the Seas with 92 from Miami. We counted all 31 ships on sale between 1 November 2026 and 31 October 2027. Every ship has at least 14.

A back-to-back trip here means two sailings in a row on the same ship: the second leaves the port the first arrives at, on the day it arrives. It is the rule in our own code, the same one every page of this site uses. Where two sailings join, you stay aboard.

Trips = two sailings in a row on one ship, leaving 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2027, as captured on 19 October 2026. Usual length = the middle total length of the trips. A ship that does 52 sailings in a row counts 51 trips, each overlapping the next.

What the numbers say

  • A busy home port helps a ship. A ship that works one port all year, like Utopia at Port Canaveral or Ovation at Los Angeles, has the most trips to choose from. A ship that moves between regions, like Legend of the Seas or Explorer of the Seas, spreads its trips across several ports.
  • Short sailings make short trips. Utopia sails a 3-night and a 4-night week after week, so a trip is a week. Legend of the Seas and other ships on longer routes have a usual trip of 14 nights.
  • The newest ship is last for a reason. Hero of the Seas has 14 trips because it only joins the schedule in 2027. Its count will grow as more of its sailings go on sale. Star of the Seas and Icon of the Seas have 52 and 51.

How to use this

  1. Pick the ship you would like to sail, then open its page to see its sailings.
  2. Or start from a home port you can reach and see which of its ships offer trips.
  3. Compare the cost. What a back-to-back costs explains the three parts of the bill.
  4. If you have a casino offer, stacking offers across sailings shows how to spend it on the legs.

How we counted

Data date: 19 October 2026. Source: the legtolegcruises.com capture of Royal Caribbean sailings, 31 ships, cruises only (cruise-and-land tours are left out). A trip is counted when the next sailing is on the same ship, leaves the port the last one arrives at, and leaves that same day. A count says how many trips exist, not what they cost or whether they are open to your offer. See all ships.
