What this video covers

On the evening of 29 September 2026, the Royal Caribbean Alaska summer of 2028 appeared: 81 cruises on four ships. Anthem of the Seas sails one way between Vancouver and Seward, Serenade of the Seas sails round trips from Vancouver, and Voyager and Ovation of the Seas sail round trips from Seattle. A typical night costs a little over 130 dollars on Serenade and Voyager, 140 on Anthem and 184 on Ovation. July runs about 151 dollars a night and September about 117.

Book Anthem north and then south and you have a back-to-back of 14 nights that passes Hubbard Glacier twice, with Sitka on the way up and Juneau on the way down; the cheapest leaves on 1 September for 1,756 dollars. One night later, 193 more listings appeared. They are cruisetours: the same cruise plus two to six nights on land, where a night on land costs about 480 dollars against about 140 at sea. The cheapest two weeks that include Alaska start in Los Angeles on Serenade. Is opening day the cheapest? Matched against 2027 on the same ship, route and week, 2028 cost more on day one for 46 of 58 sailings, usually about 10 percent. For June and July there is little reason to wait; for May or September there is no reward for booking on day one.
