What this video covers

On a back-to-back you never really leave the ship, but your bill does. Royal Caribbean closes your account at the end of one sailing and opens a new one for the next. This video goes through what stops at that line. A drink package is sold for one voyage, so two legs means two purchases. Onboard credit belongs to its own cruise and runs out at 10 o'clock on its final night, while you are still aboard for the next leg. A casino certificate covers one sailing, so a back-to-back needs one for every leg, and which certificate goes on which leg matters.

Then the good news. Gratuities are charged per guest per day, 18.50 dollars in a standard stateroom and 21 dollars in a suite, so fourteen nights cost the same either way. You can change them at Guest Relations, but only while each sailing lasts. Crown and Anchor points are earned per night, so two seven night legs earn the same as one fourteen night cruise. One rule works in your favor: one sealed bottle of wine per adult for each sailing, and the ship can store the second bottle and bring it to your room when the next leg starts. The video ends with the longest run on one ship it found, 42 legs and 294 nights on Star of the Seas from Port Canaveral, and what to do before your first leg ends.

Prices and counts in the video are from the day it was made, Sep 20, 2026. The finder always shows today's.
