Crown and Anchor on a Back-to-Back: Points, Tiers and Perks for Each Leg

Crown and Anchor counts points by the night and gives many perks once for each sailing. Here is what that means when you sail two legs in a row.

Crown and Anchor Society gives one cruise point for each completed night, so two seven-night legs earn the same 14 points as one 14-night cruise. What differs is the timing. Points are added at the end of each completed sailing, a new tier starts on the sailing after you earn it, and many of the perks are once for each sailing. On a back-to-back that can mean two chances at a perk, or none.

Plain-words background from the Crown and Anchor Society benefit grid and program rules on Royal Caribbean’s site, read on 21 October 2026. It says the grid covers sailings departing on or after 1 September 2026. Do not mix this up with Club Royale, the casino program, which keeps its own tier points. See Club Royale tier points and benefits.

Points for each leg

  • One point for each completed night. An extra point a night if you sail in a suite, or pay a single price for a double room.
  • Counted by the rate you paid, not the room you end up in. A free or cheap upgrade to a suite does not add the suite points.
  • Each leg is its own sailing. That is our reading: each leg has its own booking, as we explain in missing the ship between legs. The points rule counts nights, so the total is the same either way.
  • Allow up to 30 days from getting off for points to show on your account. Missing points can be requested up to 12 months later.

When a new tier starts

The program rules give the tiers by completed cruise points: Gold after one completed cruise, Platinum at 30, Emerald at 55, Diamond at 80, Diamond Plus at 175 and Pinnacle Club at 700. The rules also say two things about timing. Points accrue at the end of each completed sailing, and next tier benefits start on the following sailing after you earn the status. None are applied mid-cruise.

So if the first leg takes you over a line, the new perks are for the sailing after it, which is leg two in our reading. We cannot promise it works on the turnaround morning. The rules do not say how fast a stay-aboard guest’s points post, and the line says to allow up to 30 days. If a tier change matters to you, ask Guest Services on leg one.

Perks that come once for each sailing

Many of the grid’s footnotes are written per sailing. Which tier gets which perk is in the grid, so we list the wording, not the tier lines.

Perk, in the grid’s wordsWhat the footnote says

Coffee discountA one-time 25% for Gold. Platinum and Emerald get 50%, twice per sailing.
Daily drink vouchersDiamond 4, Diamond Plus 5, Pinnacle Club 6 each day, up to $14 each. They reset daily at 5:00 am.

Source: Royal Caribbean, Crown and Anchor Society benefit grid, footnotes 1, 3, 4, 6, 9a, 11, 12, 16, 22 and 26, read 21 October 2026. Benefits are for sailings departing on or after 1 September 2026 and the line can change them without notice.

The grid does not talk about back-to-backs. Because these perks are written for each sailing or each cruise, and each leg is its own booking, our reading is that you can use them again on leg two. We could not confirm that on a stay-aboard turnaround, so ask Guest Services on turnaround day before you rely on it.

Why leg length matters

Several perks carry a 5+ night or 7+ night line: the laundry bag, the $25 dining credit and Cheers with an Officer. Each leg is judged by its own nights. Two seven-night legs clear every one of those lines. Two four-night legs add up to eight nights, but neither is 5+, so on our reading you would not get those perks. It is worth a look before you pick short legs.

What does not change

  • Drink packages are separate. The grid gives Diamond Plus 30% and Pinnacle Club 40% off a Deluxe Beverage Package bought on board. See Drinks on a Back-to-Back Cruise for the package rules.
  • Perks are for the member. Several, such as the Pinnacle breakfast, apply only to the member and not to other guests.
  • The program can change. The rules say Royal Caribbean can change the program and its terms at any time.

Plan for it

  1. Write down your points today and add the nights of both legs. Check them against the tier lines above.
  2. If leg one takes you over a line, remember the new tier starts on the next sailing, and ask Guest Services about it on turnaround day.
  3. Use the per-sailing perks on each leg, and ask on turnaround day how the second round is handled.
  4. Check that each leg is 5 nights or longer if you want the 5+ night perks.
  5. Use legtolegcruises.com to find the two legs.
