What this video covers
This video walks through turnaround day, the day one cruise ends and the next one begins while you stay on the ship. The night before, a letter arrives in your stateroom. Only two things on it really matter: where to meet the other guests who are staying on, and when. If you booked the same cabin for both legs, you do nothing at all. Your key still works and housekeeping leaves your room alone. If you booked different cabins, you pack a bag and the crew moves it to your new room for you.
Next comes the zero count. Before new guests can board, the ship must show that everyone from the last sailing is accounted for. Depending on the port, you are either walked off and straight back on with a badge, in about ten minutes, or checked where you stand. Then comes the part regulars love: a few quiet hours with the ship almost to yourself, before the new guests arrive in the afternoon. You do the safety briefing again on every leg. The video ends with the one part that needs planning, which happens before you book: finding two legs that really connect, on the same ship, from the same port, on the same day.
Prices and counts in the video are from the day it was made, Sep 13, 2026. The finder always shows today's.
