Lesson 1 of 5
What a Club Royale offer is worth
An offer takes the cruise fare off one booking. It does not hand you cash.

What an offer does
A Club Royale offer comes from playing in the casino on a Royal Caribbean ship. It is not a gift of money. It takes something off one booking, and the thing it usually takes off is the cruise fare.
A fare has two parts: the cruise fare, and the taxes and port fees. An offer can reach the first part. The second part is paid on every cruise, whether an offer is used or not. Gratuities come on top.
Three kinds of offer
- Comped. The cruise fare is covered. You pay taxes, fees and gratuities.
- Discounted. A lower price, or a set amount off. It is not a free cruise.
- FreePlay. Casino credit you get once you are aboard. It does not make the booking cheaper.
What it is worth, in our numbers
We priced 724 seven-night sailings that leave between 1 November 2026 and 31 October 2027. The middle cruise fare for one guest in an inside cabin was $777, and the middle taxes and port fees were $170 per guest. That is what an offer for that cabin takes off.
- Where you sail. The same seven nights were worth about $357 out of Los Angeles and about $1,701 out of Barcelona.
- The cabin. The middle fare was $777 for an inside cabin, $939 for an ocean view, $1,301 for a balcony and $2,536 for a suite.
- The month. A seven-night inside cabin was worth about $517 in January 2027 and about $913 in July 2027.
The offer is the same on a good sailing and a poor one. What changes is the sailing you aim it at. If your offer names its sailings, the choice is made for you. If it leaves you room, aim it at the sailing where the cruise fare is highest.
Two guests
Most offers take the fare off for one guest. If the second guest pays the full fare, a seven-night offer takes about 41 percent off the whole bill for two, because taxes and port fees are paid twice. The fourth lesson covers the second guest.
Fares move every day, and these figures are from one date. Use them to learn the pattern, then look at the fare on the day you book. The full table is in what a Club Royale offer is worth, and the Club Royale guide explains the program. Next lesson: the offer card.
In short: An offer takes the cruise fare off one booking. You still pay taxes, port fees and gratuities, and where and when you sail decides how much that is worth.
