What this video covers

Say you want two weeks on one ship and to end where you started. This video counts the round trips Royal Caribbean has on sale. Out of 2,846 sailings, leaving out cruisetours, 39 run 12 nights or more, and 36 of those are one way crossings that end far from home. Only three come back, and all three are 12 nights. So the longest round trip on sale is 12 nights, and a 14 night round trip cannot be bought as one cruise.

What can be bought is two cruises back to back on the same ship: 711 of them make 14 nights, from 23 home ports. The longest round trip made that way is 23 nights on Odyssey of the Seas out of Cape Liberty, about 3,500 dollars per person. The video tests a theory that five nights plus nine is cheaper than seven plus seven, and finds it is a coin flip once the ship and the month are kept the same. What does move the price is length: per night, seven nights cost about 168 dollars, nine nights 135 and eleven nights 129, and then it goes back up. The real extra cost of two legs is a second set of taxes and port fees, a median of 142 dollars per person for each leg.

Prices and counts in the video are from the day it was made, Sep 24, 2026. The finder always shows today's.
