Royal Caribbean's Cheapest vs Most Expensive Cruise

What this video covers

A week on a Royal Caribbean ship can cost 249 dollars, or 35,243 dollars a person: 142 times more per night. This video finds out why. The cheapest night on the line is on Voyager of the Seas, seven nights from Los Angeles, about 36 dollars a night after a drop of 110 dollars on 28 September. The smallest total you can pay is a four night Ovation of the Seas trip for 209 dollars, of which the cruise fare is only 59. At the top is the cheapest suite still for sale on a seven night Legend of the Seas cruise from Barcelona in May 2027: 35,243 dollars a person, while an inside cabin on the same sailing costs 1,873.

It is not the ship, and it is not the route. It is what is left to sell. A ship has far fewer suites than inside cabins, so one suite coming or going can swing the cheapest suite price ten times overnight: on that Legend cruise a suite showed 3,145 dollars for two days, then went back to about 35,000. Since 10 September, fourteen sailings had a suite swing like that, and not one inside, ocean view or balcony cabin did. At the cheap end, the site found three legs on Voyager from Los Angeles, 21 nights for 827 dollars, and eleven legs of 74 nights for 4,884 dollars a person, less than one night in that suite.
