What this video covers

When summer ends in Europe, cruise ships cross the Atlantic, one way. This video follows one brand new ship from Barcelona to Florida, thirteen nights in all. It starts with a goodbye tour of Spain, with stops in Palma, Malaga and Cadiz, and then nine sea days in a row without land. On the first sea day there is a visit to the bridge. Then come the six hours the clocks give back on the way west, and a ship notice bulletin with the site's own mistake in it.

On sea day 7 there is still no land. Then land comes at dawn, and when the ship finally reaches it, it does the one thing nobody on board would do. The video explains how a one way crossing works (two flights, travel papers, and only twice a year), and why some guests stay on board for the next cruise. There are three rounds of True or False and six rubber ducks stowed away for the crossing. The crossings, their ports, times and sea days come from the site's own copy of the cruise line's listings, counted from 24 to 30 October 2026, with news reports on the ship's first season and on how ships change their clocks. Schedules can change, so check the cruise line's own listing before you book.

Prices and counts in the video are from the day it was made, Nov 2, 2026. The finder always shows today's.
