POV: Everyone Goes Home From the Cruise Ship Except You

What this video covers

Everyone goes home from the cruise ship today, and you do not. This video follows one real turnaround day, hour by hour, as seen by the guest who booked two cruises back to back. It starts at 6:00 in the morning, when the bags go first. By 7:00 the ship is tied up and the trucks arrive, and at 7:30 the guests who are leaving find their way out. At 9:30 comes your own little walk, and at 10:00 the empty hour.

At 10:30 the food comes on. At 11:00 the bed race begins, as the cabins are made again, and at 11:45 comes what people leave behind. At noon the new guests walk on, at 3:30 there is the safety drill, and at 4:30 the ship sails away with the crew who never leave. Along the way are three rounds of True or False, one running score and six rubber ducks to find. The counts are the site's own: 1,885 turnaround days on 31 ships in the next 12 months, with a middle time in port of 9.5 hours, read on 22 October 2026. Other facts come from the cruise line's own guest pages and from news reports of real turnaround days. What staying guests do varies by ship and port: your own letter tells you.

Prices and counts in the video are from the day it was made, Oct 24, 2026. The finder always shows today's.
