A Club Royale comp covers the cruise fare for the first guest in the cabin, the player who earned it. The second person in the room is a separate question, and this video shows the three ways offers answer it: the second guest pays the full fare, the second guest gets a discount, or both guests are comped. Since a change at the end of 2024, both guests comped mostly comes with the higher tiers. Taxes, port fees and gratuities are never comped, under any offer, and they are charged per person. A third and fourth guest are added at whatever that sailing is charging.

The second guest terms sit lower on the offer, in smaller type, and on a seven night sailing a full second guest fare can run to several hundred dollars. A worked example, with example numbers, shows an offer with 200 dollars of onboard credit losing by 400 dollars to a plainer offer that also comps guest two. So compare what actually leaves your account: the first guest fare after the comp, plus the second guest fare, plus taxes, fees and gratuities for both of you. Sailing alone does not get you out of it: a comp is based on two people in the cabin, so a solo sailor can still owe that second fare. If an offer does not state the discount, assume you are paying it.
