What this video covers
Which home port gives you the most back-to-backs to choose from? This video ranks every Royal Caribbean home port four ways, from just under 3,000 sailings on sale. For the number of chances, Port Canaveral wins with 416 back-to-backs, then Fort Lauderdale with 388, and Miami third with 385. Port Canaveral does it with five ships, against eight at Fort Lauderdale and seven at Miami, because short three and four night sailings line up easily; Utopia of the Seas alone accounts for 160. One example from there: Explorer of the Seas, five nights and then four more leaving the same day, nine nights for 660 dollars a person.
For variety, Miami wins, with 40 different mixes of leg lengths across four regions. For the choice of ship, Fort Lauderdale wins with eight. Tampa is the sleeper pick: fourth by count, with a cheapest trip of 644 dollars, though almost everything there goes to the Caribbean. The cheapest back-to-back of all leaves from San Diego: 479 dollars a person, taxes in, for seven nights on Serenade of the Seas. Five ports cannot do a back-to-back at all: Tokyo, Seward, Honolulu, Lisbon and Istanbul. All the numbers are from 22 September 2026.
Prices and counts in the video are from the day it was made, Sep 23, 2026. The finder always shows today's.
